Dear God,
I am writing to you today to say how much I am thankful for every person who is reading this message.
I also would like to ask you to bless this person right now and touch him or her with your Spirit, giving peace, strength, endurance, love and wisdom.
You know, this world can be pretty harsh sometimes, and we can get afraid. Sometimes it sucks to be in the situations where we are at. There is so much pain, so much hate, so much that we need.
Some of us are sick in body, some others have lost a loved person, some of us are suffering with other struggles, addictions, mind troubles. Some of us are or have been abused emotionally, physically and mentally.
And most of us, Dear God, have no idea what to do. We feel lost, we feel unloved, there is this pain in our hearts and we don't know what to do with it. We don't know how to love, neither how to forgive.
I ask you to watch over all my friends, all of those who know you already, and also the ones who don't really care, or think you don't exist. They may be sure that you are not there, but forgive them, they are just little people like me. They also have dreams and struggles, so they too need your help.
We need your help. We need you to be with us, to give us hope.
There may be someone reading this today that doesn't know you yet, so I ask you to show them who you are and how you can make their lives easier and better. Your Son's trip to Earth was the best thing you have done for us! I am sorry if we didn't treat Him the proper way.
You are really great, and I am thankful for all things you do.

Day 232 - Every morning
Every morning since I was born, you come to me, Lord. You breathe in the Holy air in my nostrils and you give me the thoughts that I am supposed to have. You open my eyes to what is good and Godly and you show me where I have to go.
Since I found you, there is not one day when I can't see your hand in my life.
Every morning you remind me I am your child and you stand by my side.
If I have nightmares during my sleep, you calm me down in the morning and you show me you love me and that everything is alright.
I can't live without your sweet 'Good morning my loved daughter'.
Every morning your blessings line up to fall on my hands, and I see the work of your hands being gently given to me.
Every morning you overwhelm me, and that is just the greatest feelings of all.

Day 231 - Standing on your own way vs Going against yourself
There are two different attitudes that have to do with the way we deal with ourselves. They have two different outcomes, one that pleases God, the other, not so much.
Standing on our own way is what separates us from God. The reason that happens is because we don't help ourselves when it comes to shortcomings, temptations, weaknesses and undesired behaviour. For example, if I know I am on a diet and I really want to lose weight, why I am going to go window shopping at a bakery?
Or, If I know I have a problem with shopping, what am I doing at the mall? Or, If I am mad about someone's attitude and I don't want to make it worst, why am I touching that subject?
Those are the kind of things that we should know better, they always lead to our own distruction, we know ourselves, we may think we are tough but we know the truth deep inside. If I am weak, why am I putting myself in trouble?
The other type of attitude is the one that pleases God.
Going against our own flash, our own desires, keeping ourselves from things that we value so much, sacrificing it for something bigger and better. In that sense are all kinds of fasting, or couples that chose to wait until marriage to have sexual relations, or that piece of cake you really wanted but you decided to give to someone else. Sacrificing our flash and putting it on a second plan lifts up our spirit to God and it makes us stronger.
If I can hold to not eat or drink a certain thing or to not have sex before marriage, I am sure I will become a self controlled person. I become a difficult prey, nothing can take me from my focus.
I know it is hard, it gets tough sometimes, going against our own nature, it is like having food in front of you but not eating, that takes a lot of strength. The thing is, we are not alone. He, the Father in Heaven, The Most High, gives us strength. When we are for Him, He is for us. He is wonderful and graceful, He knows how hard it is to be a human and He and only He can help us through life on Earth. His name be Praised and Glorified.

Day 230 - Being God's church
The Bible says we, after accepting Jesus into our hearts, become the Temple of God. We become the space where The Holy Spirit will inhabit. The Bible also says that either we are with Him or we are agains Him, therefore if we are not filled with the Holy Spirit, what are we filled with? - I know the answer, and it's not pretty.
What we have to think of every day is that as Church of God, we must live accordinly.
- Do you use drugs inside a church? - If not, and you are yourself the Church of God, why would you use drugs in your daily life?
- Do you curse inside a church? - If not, and you are yourself the Church of God, why would you curse in your daily life?
That question can be applied for everything else that God hates. Pornography, adultery, lies and so forth.

Day 229 - Facing the Giants
All our fears were put there to make us keep going. They seem to be a barrier, but in thruth, they are what we need to grow, they are that Math test that we have a hard time with, but once we pass it, the knowledge stays forever. That's how we grow, step by step, facing and overcoming each and every one of our fears.
When we lay our lives down, Jesus rises up and works with us. He can overcome anything and everything, because nothing is impossible for my God.
"For it is the purpose of the Lord of armies, and who will make it of no effect? when his hand is stretched out, by whom may it be turned back?" Isaiah 14:27
"For there is nothing which God is not able to do." Luke 1:37
Day 228 - Thinking about ourselves
Do you ever wonder why God loves you?
Do you ever think that you are so crappy, why would God even bother putting His bets on you?

Day 227 - People make the difference
This world is only this world because of us, people are the ones who make cities, who create organizations, people are the organs and members of a church. It is because of people that God Himself came down and died upon a cross.
I love seeing people who are motivated, who want to change this world, who want to make this place a better place to live, and who want above all, make God's ways applied here and now.
Fearless people, selfless faith people, involved people, God focused people.
It's wonderful, those are the people who make the difference, who do not let fear stop them.
Now, you do not have to change a nation to make a difference, but you can always change yourself, and then your neighbour.

Day 226 - Balance
"So I reflected on all this and concluded that the righteous and the wise and what they do are in God's hands, but no one knows whether love or hate awaits them.
All share a common destiny —the righteous and the wicked, the good and the bad, the clean and the unclean, those who offer sacrifices and those who do not. As it is with the good, so with the sinful; as it is with those who take oaths, so with those who are afraid to take them. "
Ecclesiastes 9:1-2
We must find a balance between good and bad. Another part of Ecclesiastes book tells us how we will never be 100% good as we are all sinners and we will never be 100% wicked, as there is God's mercy and grace in all of us. It also says that if we think we are too good, we are wrong, and if we think we are too bad, it is also wrong. Wise people are just in between. In need of God's mercy just like everyone else.
He works so marvelously in everyone's life. He made de moon and the sun so we can have day and night. That's wonderful and it also sets us time in life. The day and night are to set up a time frame whithin we must work with, giving us an end to all we do, telling us "hurry up, there is only so much time to fullfil our purpose".

Day 225 - Christian Music - Healing Rain
I remember before I came to Christ I used to hate Christian music. Not only that, I used to hate a lot more things. I had lots of hate in my heart.
What I wanted to say today is that music was created by God, He loves when we sing to Him and I can picture Him sitting on His balcony watching over us while we worship Him singing from our hearts, like a daddy proud of His children performing on the stage.
Music was created by the Creator, He gave some of us the talent of singing and making music in order to bring peace to our hearts and fill up our spirit with good things, it is meant to praise and adore Him. Music was not created to talk about our bodies or silly things like money and clothing, or even worst, violence and death. Music is played by angels in heaven, and because He created us His image, He also gave us the beautiful talents.
Imagine what is it like to hear God Himself singing???? Wow!

Day 224 - It doesn't matter who you are

I am no better than my neighbor. I am no better than the lady who sells her body for money, I am no better than the man who murdered his wife, I am just a sinner like everyone else, in need of God's grace. That's why He came for, and it doesn't matter who you are, it's your faith what are care about.

Day 223 - How?
Today at Church the Pastor went to very sticky subjetcs, "The hard sayings of Jesus". Those are referred to those passages where Jesus simply says "yes" and "no". To make it clear, it's when Jesus gives clear notice of His opinion about things and what's His law, for example about divorce, marriage, sexual life, etc.
Those subjects are very straight to the point and either you are in the law, or you aren't, there is no in between, there are no excuses and there isn't a "but...".
It is very hard because we are all humans and we are all in the same club, "The sinners". It doesn't matter what our weakness is, food, drink, lust, money, envy, lies. Whatever it is, all of us have one.
It's just so hard to not listen to our flesh, and in those moments all we can do is hold on tight on Jesus hands and ask Him to not let us fall.
There has to be a way out, that's what He says, you won't be tempted more than you can handle, your Father will provide an escape for you. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
In the meantime, while the moment of breakthrough doesn't happen, all we can do is wait, and keep seeking, and if we fall, get back up and start the walk again, and He doesn't care about yesterday, as long as we don't live our lives the same way as the day before.

Day 221 - The greatest, how beautiful
I was listening to some very blessed singers and thinking, if God created us as His image and likeness and this singers have like 10% of the sweetness God has in their voices, how wonderful must be to listen to God singing to us before bed time? Wow, I'm amazed everyday at what God can do, it's just incredible, He defeats all our enemies, all deseases, is mercyful even when we are wrong (at least to me He is, because I mess things up quite often), and just how loving and lovable He is. I love Him, He is everything.

Day 220 - The greatest leader
Jesus is the greatest leader there could ever be. He:
- is visionary
- is passionate
- leads by example
- has integrity
- is honest, kind, respectful, ethic
- motivates and engages people
- knows how to coach and guide others
- lives up to his own standards and follows what He preaches
- is competent
- is creative
- is a great listener
- knows how to solve problems
- is courageous and supportive
- is the most successful leader, His outcomes are incredible
"Take my yoke on you and become like me, for I am gentle and without pride, and you will have rest for your souls;" Matthew 11:29

Day 219 - Living like aliens
I heard today we must live as if we are aliens in this world. We are not called to fit in and blend in with the things we don't agree with just because we want to be accepted.
Jesus said He has been persecuted, therefore we will be persecuted as well.
We should rather be excluded from a group then to deny God's words and agree with things are not in His standards.
Living like aliens, influencing others, loving others, showing the love of God and spreading out His values, that's what we have been called to. It's worth it, it's for us, for this whole family that is Earth, and it's for His name.
Pray without ceasing, worship Him in truth, spirit, mind and heart.

Day 218 - Twisted faith
I've read on someone's facebook wall: "Pray as if everything depends on God, and work as if it depends only on you".
I really liked that sentence because it builds up faith in God and strenght in us as we would work hard.
When we work hard and seek God, we are blessed with His grace and our hard work becomes fruits right away.
What I unfortunately see around me is that people, and sometimes even me, pray as if that prayer wouldn't get them anything, and then they work in a lazy way, thinking that God will bless them.
That's twisted, and maybe that's the reason why so many prayers aren't answered. When we pray without belief, that's not faith at all. He says 'you believe, you shall receive' and that's that.
So if we believe and we work hard for what we prayed and then just trust and wait on God, that's a 100% answered prayer.
Let's not be lazy, have a weak and twisted faith. Let's obey and think of God at all times and live the clean lives He has asked to live.

Day 217 - Bye bye fear
Faith: trust and belief in what is unseen, certainty that unseen things will become seen, what is not possible so far will become possible because of faithful thinking
Fear: feeling that paralizes action. Lack of trust in something, someone or determined situation.
Fear is the opposite of faith. While faith is belief, fear is unbelief.
We must overcome our fears, that's the challenge of life. That's what we are here for, not to stay confortable and stuck on the same spot all our lives. We can do it. All things are possible through Him.
Day 216 - Imagine this
Imagine this, the whole world being changed by Jesus' love. No more violence, women and child abuse, no more rebellion, peace all over, fairness being practiced.
It's too bad that not everybody understands that Jesus is not about a religion, it's God himself living in us and He doesn't want to disrupt anyone, He actually wants to reconstruct us, even though most of us can't see the need of it.
God is good!

Day 215 - It's in God's hands
There is no reason to worry about a thing, it's in His hands. For the troubles of tomorrow are to be left for tomorrow, we have enough troubles today.
Even if it rains, even if the sky is dark cloudy, even if everything goes not like we planned, even if all our doors have been shut at our faces. The Lord is the Lord, He created us, He knows His plans and He will never forsake us.
We are to follow Him, it depends on us, not on Him. It depends on how much we will seek, how much we will be with Him, how much of our lives we give to Him.
Just smile, today is a new day.

Day 214 - Fireproof
Watch this movie. That's how life is suposed to be. That's what love is suposed to be, fireproof.
"Don't ever leave your partner, specially in the fire".
The Lord just wants a change to change us, He just wants an invitation to come and rescue us from pain, to give us a resting place and to show us love, even if there is anyone else out there that would love us.

Day 213 - The need for God
Many times in life we have and will get caught in situations when we ask "God, why is this happening to me?". We wonder why bad things happen to us even if we are followers of Christ, we pray, we go to church and life our lives according to His laws. Those things are not create by God, they can just be unfortunate situations or something we put ourselves into. God doesn't create bad things for us, but He allows us to go through things sometimes not because He wants to know what will happen (since He already knows it all) but to show us things and to make us stronger. Just as He did with Job.
That happens because we have a very strong tendency of seeking Him only when bad things happen. Therefore we need those things to keep us close to God. I'm sure if everything was perfect and there were not problem on the planet, most of us wouldn't even remember God, not even for a simple "thank you" prayer.
It is because He wants us to keep seeking Him that He created us imperfect. He wanted to give us imperfections so that we could have the choice to love Him, so He would know, when we decide to do so, that it is true love.
Which parent doesn't feel important when the kids send those awesome cards on special days saying "I love you, I need you in my life". To be necessary in one's life is a wonderful feeling, it's fulfilling and that's why God set up things the way He did.
God is wise and He wouldn't do things for no reason. Whatever happens, has a purpose to be, even if the purpose is just to force us to go after our Father and knock at His door at 3:00 in the morning because we are scared of have had a nightmare.

Day 212 - His love never fails
He promissed to never leave us, and He never will. He tells us and shows us everyday how much He desires that we stay in close contact with Him. He wants to be our best friend. He wants to love, He wants to reach for us, His children. His lost children that He made with His own hands.
Why lick dirt from the floor if He is ready to dress us up like princes and princesses and give us a feast in cellebration of His love for us?
Let's be wise, let ourselves be reached by Him, and once our souls are completely surrendered to Him, reach out for others. So there will be no more pain, hunger, destruction, only love. God's love. Our Father's love.

Day 210 - Differences in people's lives
Those who have been changed by Christ would know and agree with this statement: Jesus changes.
He not only changes us, but He does it it a good way. He knows our hearts and He will go deeply to search for ways to get into us and get rid of all the crap we allow to be installed inside of us, and after He is done the cleaning up, He brings us peace, joy, love, wisdom, blessings, solutions to our problems and more. Inviting Jesus into our hearts is the biggest and best investment we could ever make.
It does not cost anything, and the return is immediate, it is priceless and it is everlasting. He is an eternal source of positive things, never bad, so why not? In doubt, just try it out, we have nothing to lose, just to gain. And how I know that? Because I've experienced it myself, because I've seen how peoples' lives are changed for the better, because He has changed me and brought life to my life.
He is awesome! And He is faithful. He has promised and He will never forsake us.
He not only changes us, but He does it it a good way. He knows our hearts and He will go deeply to search for ways to get into us and get rid of all the crap we allow to be installed inside of us, and after He is done the cleaning up, He brings us peace, joy, love, wisdom, blessings, solutions to our problems and more. Inviting Jesus into our hearts is the biggest and best investment we could ever make.
It does not cost anything, and the return is immediate, it is priceless and it is everlasting. He is an eternal source of positive things, never bad, so why not? In doubt, just try it out, we have nothing to lose, just to gain. And how I know that? Day 208 - I see crystal clear now
Today I had a burst of light and it felt just as when I first accepted Jesus into my life, and when He made me see through His eyes. I looked at myself and to my whole life and realized how much I need Him, how much I am capable of making mistakes without Him.
We all need fullfilment and it is during the seeking for connection and fullfilment that we lose ourselves going for things that won't make us happy, so we just waste our time. God has set a table with an awesome feast for us, but instead we choose to do it our own way and end up licking dirt from the floor.
If had only listened to the first Christian person that approached me on the street to say "Jesus loves you", or when my uncle who is a pastor tried to teach me that my behaviour wasn't good. Or all the other people I new were Christians and I refused to listen to. I wouldn't have wasted so much time, and I would have spent lots more time with sisters and brothers and with Jesus Himself.
For how long did I ignore His voice? It's mind blowing.
Jesus is definitely everything to me. I am crazy in love with my fiancé, my family, my friends, but the one who I really need in order to survive, that's Jesus. I love Jesus, and I want Him for the rest of my life.

Day 207 - Time
Time goes quick. Every day we go to sleep is one less day towards the end of the journey God has set for us. When we say "tomorrow I will..." we don't really know what is in tomorrow's schedule planned by Him. All we know is that it must be perfect and sure better than what we would have planned.
Sometimes unexpected things happen, like somebody close to us that is being called to be in God's presence. We should definitely live as if tomorrow is our last day, not in the worldly meaning of that with party and rock n roll, but with making the most of every moment, sending out God's love to every creature we encounter. How difficult it is to show love to a criminal though.
The day of tomorrow could represent a few possibilities:
- you could die
- Jesus can return
- you could waste your day with daily routine
- you could make the best out of it and be thankful for everything
Sometimes, in days of tiredness of this ongoing cycle of life and human attitudes, I wish Jesus would come back soon, but the truth is, we don't know, and there is a time set for everything.
We must be wise and use up our time as He asks us, with His things, since we are here for Him and because of Him.
