-- This blog is the way I found to share the word of God to the world. Join me and lets grow together. -- Este blog è a maneira que encontrei de dividir a palavra de Deus com o mundo. Venha comigo e vamos crescer juntos.
I am not worthy of a God like you, Lord. My whole existence is so small compared to a single hair of your head. I am low, a sinner, wrong in all ways, hopeless, helpless, and all that I can do in this life is to worship you, and believe that you will have mercy on me. I need you Lord, to save me, to make me better, so change me so that I can be different than what I am today.
Humble me Lord, quiet me, empty me, change me, fill me with your Holy Spirit and show me your face!
Stubbornness: the trait of being difficult to handle or overcome.
"For the LORD gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding." Proverbs 2:6
"They would not be like their ancestors — a stubborn and rebellious generation, whose hearts were not loyal to God, whose spirits were not faithful to him." Psalms 78:8
"But these people have stubborn and rebellious hearts; they have turned aside and gone away." Jeremiah 5:23
"I will break down your stubborn pride and make the sky above you like iron and the ground beneath you like bronze." Leviticus 26:19
"He looked around at them in anger and, deeply distressed at their stubborn hearts, said to the man, "Stretch out your hand." He stretched it out, and his hand was completely restored." Mark 3:5
Stubbornness makes me angry. It also makes God angry, the irony though is, all of us in some level are very stubborn. I myself, admit. I used to be very very stubborn, now I am a little better and still learning, but far from being as humble as I should be.
I just feel like stubbornness takes us away from our focus, it leads us into this empty dark bubble, where we only do the things we think we should, the way we should, and in that way, we close our eyes, our ears and our hearts to the truth.
I honestly pray the world would become less stubborn overtime, that people will realize their mistakes, and say hey, maybe there is a better way to do this, and yeah, maybe other people are right too and there could be peace instead of distress. I pray that I will become less stubborn, and that I will also help the ones around me to become better. Amen.
