Day 146 - Special Request
Today's post is about my friend's youngest sister, Elisangela Virgilio Mesquita Terceiro. She is a lovely 16 year old girl who is currently at the hospital in a coma because of several tumors detected in her entire body, including her head.
I believe people are reading this, so I ask you, please pray for her.
Just as Lazarus was lifted up from the grave after 4 days, and Jesus Himself walked out from death, this situation is only for God's glory. It is to glorify His name that she is in that situation, and so our prayers to The Most High are going to take her out of that and make her an alive testimony.

Day 144 - Drinking the Father's cup
John 18:11
But Jesus said to Peter, “Put your sword back into its sheath! Am I not to drink the cup that the Father has given me?”
Just before Jesus' death, He had the chance to escape when Peter takes a sword to defend Jesus. Jesus could have walked away from the mission God gave Him, but He didn't, instead He carries on with what would glorify His Father's name.
Sometimes it is really hard to follow Him, we are just humans, Jesus was God Himself so He conquered the world. We will not always succeed the challenges of this world but if we keep trusting Him and never turn away from Him, His strong hand will be always there.
I wish we could be just perfect so we wouldn't suffer but that's not God's purpose to us, so all we can do is just keep walking the walk.

Day 143 - Living with imperfections
I would like to talk about imperfections. We are all imperfect to begin with, so why do some people (most of us) have to put themselves up and look down upon others? Why do we judge others? Why do we even argue?
No wonder most relationships don't last long nowadays, we are so impelled to look for perfect people, to not tolerate imperfections, and it's all because we can't see the imperfections in ourselves.
That's really sad to see marriages breaking up, shallow friendships, and people with emotional and social issues. The world has become a big mess and people are becoming less patient, less loving, less tolerating.
God is everything we are not, He is loving, patient, understanding, wise.
Nobody else is perfect other than Him, nobody.
Noone is more important than anyone else. It doesn't matter position, gender, age, financial situation.
We come from Him and we will finish in Him, so that's it.

Day 142 - How to find peace
Step 1 - God's purpose: Peace and Life
God loves you and wants you to experience peace and life - abundant and eternal.
The Bible says:
"We have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ" Romans 5:1
"For God so loved the world that He gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life" John 3:16
"I have come that they mau have life, and that they may have it more abundantly" John 10:10
Why don't most peole have this peace and abundant life that God planned for us to have?
Step 2 - The problem: our separation
God created us in His own image to have an abundant life. He did not make us as robots to automatically love and obey Him. God gave us a will and freedom of choice.
We chose to disobey God and go our own willful way. We still make this choice today. This results in separation from God.
The Bible says:
"For all have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God" Romans 3:23
"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord" Romans 6:23
Our choice results in separation from God.
Step 3: God's bridge: the Cross
Jesus Christ died on the cross and rose from the grave. He paid the penalty for our sin and bridged the gap between God and people.
The Bible says:
"For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man is Christ Jesus" 1 Timothy 2:5
"For Christ died for sins one for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God" 1 Peter 3:18
"But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us" Romans 5:8
God has provided the only way, each person must make a choice.
Step 4: Our response: Receive Christ
We must trust Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and receive Him by personal invitation
The Bible says:
"Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and ear with him, and he with me" Revelation 3:20
"Yet to all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God" John 1:12
"That if you confess with your mouth 'Jesus is Lord' and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved" Romans 10:9
Where are you?
Will you receive Jesus Christ right now?
Here is how you can receive Christ:
1. Admit your need (I am a sinner)
2. Be willing to turn from your sins (repent)
3. Believe that Jesus Christ died for you on the Cross and rose from the grave
4. Through prayer, invite Jesus Christ to come in and control your life through the Holy Spirit. (Receive Him as Lord and Savior)
Dear Lord Jesus,
I know that I am a sinner and need Your forgiveness. I believe that You died for my sins. I want to turn from my sins. I now invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as Lord and Savior.
In Jesus' name. Amen.

Day 141 - Being perfect by Jesus' eyes
How many times do we get frustrated when we make a mistake or act not according to Jesus' laws?
It's easy to say "I will never do this or that because I love Jesus".
That we love Him, yes, sure, it may possibly be truth but that we will NEVER do this or that, we may be wrong sometimes.
For those who become Christians after so many bad things in life, it feels like all problems are solved and life will be from that moment on all nice and smotth.
That is usually not what happens, after a while walking with Jesus and all the clean up that He does in our lives the reality kicks in and all that great feeling gets slowed down by the challenges and trials God gives us or the things we get ourselves into.
I wish we could be more like Jesus, we could shape ourselves and act according to the decisions we made, instead of making decisions and being confident and not following them through.
To be Christian is not easy, nobody said it was easy. Jesus says "Do not have the thought that I have come to send peace on the earth; I came not to send peace but a sword." Mathew 10:34
It requires a lot of work, a lot of effort, a lot of personal sacrifice, it is not easy but it's worthy it. It's for our own salvation, for the salvation of this world, for better life on Earth, for integrity amd happiness among families and nations, it is for His glory and that's what matters.
Let's not do what's easy but what's right.
It's easy to say "I will never do this or that because I love Jesus".

Day 138 - Today's word
Better is the poor man whose ways are upright, than the man of wealth whose ways are twisted.
Further, without knowledge desire is not good; and he who is over-quick in acting goes out of the right way.
By his foolish behaviour a man's ways are turned upside down, and his heart is bitter against the Lord.
Wealth makes a great number of friends; but the poor man is parted from his friend.
A false witness will not go without punishment, and the breather out of deceit will not go free.
Great numbers will make attempts to get the approval of a ruler: and every man is the special friend of him who has something to give.
All the brothers of the poor man are against him: how much more do his friends go far from him! ...
He who gets wisdom has love for his soul: he who keeps good sense will get what is truly good.
A false witness will not go without punishment, and the breather out of deceit will be cut off.
Material comfort is not good for the foolish; much less for a servant to be put over rulers.
A man's good sense makes him slow to wrath, and the overlooking of wrongdoing is his glory.
The king's wrath is like the loud cry of a lion, but his approval is like dew on the grass.
A foolish son is the destruction of his father; and the bitter arguments of a wife are like drops of rain falling without end.
House and wealth are a heritage from fathers, but a wife with good sense is from the Lord.
Hate of work sends deep sleep on a man: and he who has no industry will go without food.
He who keeps the law keeps his soul; but death will be the fate of him who takes no note of the word.
He who has pity on the poor gives to the Lord, and the Lord will give him his reward.
Give your son training while there is hope; let not your heart be purposing his death.
A man of great wrath will have to take his punishment: for if you get him out of trouble you will have to do it again.
Let your ear be open to suggestion and take teaching, so that at the end you may be wise.
A man's heart may be full of designs, but the purpose of the Lord is unchanging.
The ornament of a man is his mercy, and a poor man is better than one who is false.
The fear of the Lord gives life: and he who has it will have need of nothing; no evil will come his way.
The hater of work puts his hand deep into the basin, and will not even take it to his mouth again.
When blows overtake the man of pride, the simple will get sense; say sharp words to the wise, and knowledge will be made clear to him.
He who is violent to his father, driving away his mother, is a son causing shame and a bad name.
A son who no longer gives attention to teaching is turned away from the words of knowledge.
A good-for-nothing witness makes sport of the judge's decision: and the mouth of evil-doers sends out evil like a stream.
Rods are being made ready for the man of pride, and blows for the back of the foolish.

Day 137 - God's trials
Have you been in one of those days? Those days when everything is so difficult and things happen but they take longer than to everyone else and you have to put an extra amount of effort in order to get things done?
When those days come I just feel like God is putting me into a trial to test how much I love Him and how much it takes to get me away from my godly behaviour.
It is so easy to fall for traffic rage, to get into arguments with strangers, or to try to win over everyone. What is really difficult is to assume we come from God's kingdom and because of that we must behave in a certain way and not let out thoughts and feelings influence us. When we conquer those things and overcome the daily strugles, we earn points with the Lord.
When a hard day is successfully overcome, God smiles as He sees His children being able to obey His commandments.
I pray we all will have more days like when we overcome things than when we fall for silly matters.
Amen.

Day 135 and 136 - Puzzle
It is all a big puzzle, it's a puzzle in God's mind, He knows the inicial picture and what He wants to do with it.
I get myself thinking a lot in how amazing it is that everything works for this final picture that God planned and the situations, the people, the right moments at the right places.
I wish I could take a look at God's book, just to see where I did according to His ideal plan and where I misswalked and so He had to correct my path and create new situations for His plans to be achieved.
He is amazing, I am amazed!
I love you, Lord.

Days 133 and 134 - God's plans
We plan so much, agendas, calendars, to do lists and so on. When do we actually stop to ask God what He has for us on each day?
The Scriptures say on His book it's written all of our days. Why worry then? Why question what to do in hard situations? It's all in there, we came from Him and to Him we will return, and that His Will and nothing else will be done at the end of our lives.
I think one of the best prayers is "God let your will be done in my life" "In this day"
Isn't it awesome? That even when facing a problem, for Him it's not a problem, it's something that if we prayed that prayer, it's already happening according to His plans, therefore it's not a problem.
God is awesome and everything He does is marvelous, nothing to fear.
"For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. They are plans of good and not disaster"
Jeremiah 26:11

Day 130 - God bless His creations
Everything He does is beautiful, everything He does is nice. More than nice, it's just perfect! He gives us more than we need, He forgives us all the times we ask, He is our Father, loving Father with endless love.I have no words, I am amazed and blessed by being your daughter!

Days 128 and 129 - I don't even have words to say...
I don't even have words to say how much I love my God
How much I appreciate Him and everything He does for me,
for my family, for my friends, for this planet, for life to be possible.
I don't know how to describe the peace He puts in my heart when
I feel filled with the Holy Spirit that guides me, teaches me, and loves me eternally.
My God is not just a god, He is not somehing I just believe in, He is not like
Santa Claus or the Ester Bunny. He is not such things, He IS God.
He lives and lives for us, He is this amazing father who never gets tired of
taking care of his children, of cleaning our mess, of teaching us the
same lesson over and over and over.
He is always available, even though He has so much work to do.
He is the greatest of all, the most powerful the super high.
He is the Lord, the Friend, the Messiah, the Lamb, the Counsellor,
The Doctor, the Creator.
He is alfa and omega, everything comes from Him and will end in Him.
I have no words to explain how big He is, how small I am compared to Him
and how much I wish to be 10% of what He is everyday.
Life is not easy at all, but with Him it becomes bearable, it becomes possible.
As everything is possible with Him, one day I dream there will be no unbelievers
and one day all will bow to Him and say "You are the Lord". Amen.

Day 127 - Today's Word
"Is not wisdom crying out, and the voice of knowledge sounding?
At the top of the highways, at the meeting of the roads, she takes her place;
Where the roads go into the town her cry goes out, at the doorways her voice is loud:
I am crying out to you, O men; my voice comes to the sons of men.
Become expert in reason, O you simple ones; you foolish ones, take training to heart.
Give ear, for my words are true, and my lips are open to give out what is upright.
For good faith goes out of my mouth, and false lips are disgusting to me.
All the words of my mouth are righteousness; there is nothing false or twisted in them.
They are all true to him whose mind is awake, and straightforward to those who get knowledge.
Take my teaching, and not silver; get knowledge in place of the best gold.
For wisdom is better than jewels, and all things which may be desired are nothing in comparison with her.
I, wisdom, have made wise behaviour my near relation; I am seen to be the special friend of wise purposes.
The fear of the Lord is seen in hating evil: pride, a high opinion of oneself, the evil way, and the false tongue, are unpleasing to me.
Wise design and good sense are mine; reason and strength are mine.
Through me kings have their power, and rulers give right decisions.
Through me chiefs have authority, and the noble ones are judging in righteousness.

When he had not made the earth or the fields or the dust of the world.
When he made ready the heavens I was there: when he put an arch over the face of the deep:
When he made strong the skies overhead: when the fountains of the deep were fixed:
When he put a limit to the sea, so that the waters might not go against his word: when he put in position the bases of the earth
Then I was by his side, as a master workman: and I was his delight from day to day, playing before him at all times;
Playing in his earth; and my delight was with the sons of men.

Day 126 - Godly things
"My son, keep my sayings, and let my rules be stored up with you.
Keep my rules and you will have life; let my teaching be to you as the light of your eyes;

Day 125 - Love love love
Love is the answer to everything. Love is what God is made of, love is the reason why God made everything and that's why He send His son. Love is the reason why Jesus died. It is what makes wake up in the morning, and without love life is trash.
Everyone and everything need love, not only from spouses but from everyone around. More important than receiving love though, is giving love. God created us because He needed to give love and as we are His likeness, we also have a need to give love. We need to give love, or else we die.
The sad thing is people have become so sad and alone that they give love to things that shouldn't be cared so much such as shopping, technology and work.
We must love everyone, as much as God loves His children and His church.
Let's love and I pray this world will become more capable to love.

Day 123 - God's fairness
Let me begin with this: God is fair.
Considering that He is fair and it's all under His mighty control I have been asking myself "why do I get to have so much while others live so poorly?"
Is He testing the heart of the ones who have lots?
Is He testing the heart of those who have none?
Is He trying to show us that He has control over everything including the amount of things we are allowed to have and so He just does as He pleases?
Am I anyhow deserving of everything He has given me?
Why do so many work so hard and get nothing?
Why do so many do not work at all and get so much?
It seems not fair! But God is fair, so why?
I really would like to be more of a giver than a receiver, we get so much daily already, air to breath, food, spiritual food, love, roofs, education and so on, why can't we
Why do we give two dollars of offerings but spend twnty on a movie night with friends?
Shouldn't it be the opposite?
Why do teachers earn 10 times less than sports players that become idols?
What kind of fools are we? Probably the worst kind...
I'm happy God is so mercyful and gives us the blessing of being alive. Thanks, Father.

Day 122 - missing someone you love
How much did God probably miss Jesus during those 33 years Jesus was on Earth, they were still in touch and it was probably hard for them to separate Father and Son, but they knew it was for a good reason and that Jesus was going back home after. It is probably a lot harder for God to cse so many of His loved children separated from Him, not being in touch , not obeying.
He loves us so much and that is what we should do too, go back to the Father's house.

Day 121 - Everything works for those who love Him
Isn't it amazing how He operates? I mean, how at the end of the day the pieces of the puzzles He puts us in actually come together and make sense on the right time. He is awesome, and wise, He is God and knows what He is doing, totally the opposite of us, who are clueless.
Let's trust Him, wait upon Him and see the daily miracles He makes happen, despite our doings or wants.

The truth is, life is impossible without you Lord. Through your pain and shed blood you made this journey possible. We would have been dead a long time ago, thank you for your mercy.
