Day 149 - Simple gestures

Simple things that can change a person's day and even his / her perspective about life:

- Openning the door for a sranger: it may seem cliché but it shows respect and politeness, it also express humility from the person who is doing by putting the other person first;

- Smile: people's lives are dark and sad lately, we must make others happy and let them see Jesus in us through our own happiness and let Him shine through us;

- Talk to strangers: when I am at work I love when people say "hello, how are you?" Instead of just walking by me if I am just a decoration on the wall. It makes people feel important and necessary to the world;

- "have a good day": some people actually do turn out to have a good day once we wish that upon them, the Scriptures says how much power our words have, so there we go, let's wish a good day to everyone!

- Saying how much Jesus loves people: sometimes people behave improperly or are agressive just because they have never had love before, so many children who grow up in difucntional homes turn out to be the people we reject today on our way, there may be a sad child behind that person, love has been always missing, we must tell them, they will not learn by themselves, they need us, and love can definitely change someone's life.

- Hugs: big tabu for some people; some cultures will naturally hug, not the case in North America unfortunately, people here are a little afraid of touching strangers, but how nice it is to receive a warm hug! People are people, not cold icebergs, and people do need hugs and love!

- Thankfulness: That's something we all need to learn, to be thankful at all times. For everything and anything, we must be thankful, it creates a net of good feelings and good vibes in between people and a sense that we are important and necessary to others. Saying "thank you" and "I appreciate it" is really powerful when said with meaning as it makes the person we are saying it to a sense that her / his action will be appreciated again so the behaviours will continue in a positive way;

"Love your neighbour as yourself"
"Love all your brothers and sisters"
Signed Dad
