The Bible tells us so many stories of persecuted Chritians. It pretty much stated that if you are a Christian you will be persecuted. The reason for that is because we go against the world. We say what people don't want to hear because we say the truth, and they would rather live in lies. The enemy has told the world so many lies that people are completely lost and upside down. What should be wrong is sold as right at price of death.
Jesus was the one who was mostly persecuted of course. There was always someone questioning His truth and His credibility as Son of God. People would rather trust the prisoner coming from jail than Jesus.
On the persecuted, after Jesus, there is John, Peter, Job, and so many more. Faith is something that bothers the world because we contest what they believe in.
There is a good side of being persecuted though, and that is to know that we are building in Heaven and that God is being pleased because His will is being done. As we lay our lives to Him, He blesses us and exalts us in a better and much richer way than we would ever experience if we simply followed the crowd.
He said "Blesses is the one who is persecuted for the sake of God's kingdom", therefore we just need to stand strong and remember always why we are here for.
God is good, He is bigger than anyone and anything. Whenever there is persecution, there is the chance of changing the world and chance of seeing God's Glory in action right in front of our eyes.
I pray for all of those who are being persecuted right now aroung the globe because of their faith. I pray, Lord Jesus, that you will touch them, give them strength, give them the courage they need to keep going or their good work. Bless them, Lord, give them help, fill them up with your Holy Spirit and nurture their bodies and soul. Amen.
